Finally, an Ace Combat worth playing was released on PC. Cut-scenes are immersive with amazing detail, something My favorite Ace Combat games were 'Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies' to 'Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War' back on PlayStation 2. Skies Unknown has 20 missions in total and it can be completed in a total Steam playtime of 13.4 hours, that's with me failing missions a few times. Has a fun, more substantial story then i was expecting given the genre which came as a nice surprise, and I've found myself thoroughly enjoying the game, therefore it gets a recommendation from me! … Expand file in the games directory which increases draw distance (just google it) but besides making that small adjustment the game looks great.

Plays well with a controller, apparently doesn't support hotas sticks but this is far from a hardcore flight sim and therefore I really don't care about that personally, what I do care about is the quality of the port to pc, and I'm glad to say that is excellent and very well optimised, I have applied a couple of lines to the ini. It is not a realistic flight sim, it is an arcade flight sim, more afterburner then IL2 and I'm totally fine with that.
